Free Entry to Locals When Accompanying Guests At Youghal Clock Gate
Youghal Clock Gate Tower officially opened its doors as a visitor attraction in Ireland’s Ancient East in March 2017. Key to the success of the attraction has been the support of the local community. With this in mind, the Management of Youghal Clock Gate Tower has today (3rd October 2019) launched a new campaign, offering free entry to Youghal residents when accompanying a visitor/guest on the tour. The campaign will run from October through to March 2020.
Since the attraction opened it has become one of the most popular places to visit in East Cork, drawing international visitors to Youghal’s town centre. The attraction has in particular become a focal point for the visiting athletes and their supporters of the first International Ironman competition in June of this year, who took the tour during race week, but also in advance of the event.
Speaking about the newly launched campaign, Front Officer Manager and Youghal Clock Gate Tower Representative, Paula Brennan explained the campaign. “This is part of the Clock Tower’s overall marketing strategy to drive more visitors to the heart of Youghal, while also appreciating the support from the local community. We have undertaken a huge amount of research on how our visitors are hearing about us, and how they are making that decision to take the tour, said Paula. It is clear that the vast number of visitors are hearing about us through referrals and in particular local referrals. We feel it is only right that we give something back by offering any local residents who wish to bring their guest to take the tour, complimentary entry for themselves”. Finished Paula.
To avail of the offer simply bring along a photograph of yourself and proof of address to the ticket office at Youghal Tourist Office, and you will be issued with a pass to host your visitors from October, 2019 to March, 2020. Pass is valid for the host only. Tours operate Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays throughout the Winter months.
