Restoration works at Youghal Clock Gate Tower are almost at completion and very exciting times lay ahead as we see Youghal Clock Gate Tower open as a key attraction in Failte Ireland’s ‘Ireland’s Ancient East’ Experience Brand. Youghal Clock Gate Tower is the story of the Youghal community over 600 years. It is about people, time and place. It is real, authentic, stimulating and emotive.
The Youghal Clock Gate Tower is now offering an opportunity to join Cork’s most authentic and imaginative visitor experience as a Tour Guide. The role will see Guides act as storytellers and deliver entertaining tours and animate this unique history. Guides are expected to deliver an outstanding visitor experience.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
• Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills – fluent English is essential.
(French, German or Spanish as second spoken language would be an advantage)
• Experience in public speaking or tour guiding is essential.
• A dedication to providing excellent customer service.
• Be hardworking, honest, dedicated and passionate about Youghal’s heritage.
