Its back – the date is set and we are so excited. Yes, Youghal Medieval Festival , the “mother and father” of family fun festivals in Youghal will be taking place in the wonderful St. Mary’s College Gardens & St. Mary’s Collegiate Church, on Sunday August 6th 2023 at the usual time of 12.oo noon ‘til 6.00pm.
Once again, thanks to the generosity of the Heritage Council, Irish Walled Towns Network and Cork County Council, all events at FREE of charge!
At Youghal Medieval Festival you will experience highly charged battle re-enactments, amazing costumes, primitive medieval village living, falconry, the kids favourite of “The Big Dig” a kids archaeology workshop and the list goes on and on and its all interesting and great fun. Guided and self-guided tours of the 12th century St. Mary’s Collegiate Church will also be FREE on the day.
Of course there will be the fine food and craft market to stave away the hunger pangs from such an exciting and busy afternoon in our historic town.
