The Grinch is trying to steal our Christmas in Youghal!!!
Youghal Christmas lights switch on Saturday 24 November with events from 2.30pm -5pm with plenty of fun in store for children and adults alike.
Santa will be arriving at 3pm and The Grinch is on the loose… and planning to steal Christmas and the fun from Youghal Christmas Light’s Switch on!!!
Youghal town will be over-run by Elves as Santa comes to town as part of the festive celebrations will they be able to make it with The Grinch trying to stop them at every move? You’ll have to come and see for yourselves and maybe help the Grinch to find his heart!
Santa’s POST BOX will be in market square for the boys and girls to post their letters, and Santa’s elves will be there collecting the letters to deliver to the North Pole. With over 3 hours of free fun, games and entertainment on offer, including the Market Square will be filled with music song and dance.
Between 2:30pm and 5:30pm join in the street party with our Local musician JORDAN KAY singing all the Christmas hits.
Santa Clause will be arriving at 3pm on board the Youghal Fire Brigade heartily accompanied through the town to his grotto by the tunes of Youghal Pipe Band. All the boys and girls can visit Santa in his grotto and receive a free gift, watch an array of street performers and listen to Christmas carols.
One lucky child will be drawn on the day from almost 4,000 who entered a colouring competition to switch on the lights with Santa at 5pm.
