Launching at 7pm on Thursday 18th August , Youghal artist, Mary O’Donnell will launch her much anticipated Summer exhibition.
Mary is a self-taught, Youghal based artist, with a passion for art and photography in all its forms. Having studied Art while at school Mary has been painting and creating ever since.
In 2019, Mary fulfilled a lifelong dream to work as a full time professional artist and retired from my busy property business. As Mary herself puts it “….after nearly 20 years, I swapped the office for a studio and this has been the best decision of my life. I love having the time and freedom now to explore new styles and build collections of original paintings for solo exhibitions and group shows.”
Mary is inspired by the natural world and excels at bringing canvases to life with vibrant paints, textures, tones and mixed media.
We are thrilled that Mary has chosen the Mall Arts Centre, with its magnificent panorama of Youghal Bay to exhibit her Summer Exhibition to her home crowd. Meet the artist herself as she walks and talks you through her works of art in the varying media forms she produces.
