Cork County Council is thrilled to announce that the town of Youghal is set to sparkle with a magnificent Christmas Market on Saturday 12th December & Saturday 19th December in Barry’s Lane, Market Square, Youghal. The markets, organised by Cllr. Mary Linehan-Foley, Mayor of the County of Cork will operate from 11-4pm each day.
Masks, hand sanitiser and social distancing are to be expected but certainly won’t dampen the festive spirit of locals and visitors in this Covid-friendly edition of a Christmas market! The market is set to support and highlight the array of food & craft producers and retailers in the area, giving a timely and seasonal boost to the local economy.
Food lovers will be able to feast on pastries, pretzels and/or confectionery, crêpes and waffles, while families and friends can enjoy a walk through the town centre, which has been greatly enhanced this year with extra Christmas lighting features by Cork County Council.
Local charities will also benefit, with participating stall holders each making a €20 contribution to a local cause.
