With the fine weather due to continue “BAGETELLE” are all set to entertain you in the seaside town of Youghal at the Free open-air concert on the GIG RIG for the annual Queen of the Sea festival. The festival weekend, which takes place in the Town Centre from the 13th -15h July 2018, is set to be packed full of so much fun, entertainment and activities for all the family that it’s an event that is simply not to be missed!
Kicking off the festival on Friday 13th is a Fancy Dress contest followed by the first introduction to this year’s “Queens of The Sea”. See our beautiful girls on stage with Red FM’s Brenda Dennehy, followed by New Bedford playing on the GIG RIG.
Saturday will see the Nealons Quay area transform into a food and craft village for the entire weekend with huge arrays of all foods ranging from mouth-watering gourmet Sausages, BBQ Burgers Paella and Pizzas to warm Crepes and waffles with chocolate sauce and fresh cream. The Food Village will also offer an amazing selection of baked goodies and sweeties…… all set to keep any “foodie” full for the whole day.
Saturday evening sees the Crowning of the “Queen of the Sea” with host Brendan Hennessy followed by the FREE, open air concert featuring THE BEE GEE’S tribute band live on the GIG RIG. All of this followed by the spectacular and much anticipated FIREWORKS display!
Throughout the weekend, festival goers are encouraged to test their skills in the ultimate fitness challenge. Kiddies fun is, as always, paramount at Queen of the Sea Festival with so much fun…..Sandcastle Building Competition, Face-painting , Fun Dog Show, Amusements and of course the famous Youghal Crab Catching competition. Following our super day of fun, song, amusement and dance our Festival will be rounded off on Sunday night with “BAGATELLE” -…..Yes…”BAGATELLE” of “Second Violin” & “Summer in Dublin” fame. Rock and bop your hearts out from 6.30pm on Nealons Quay – you know you want to.
