What is “Youghal Celebrates History”
“Youghal Celebrates History” is a voluntary group of people dedicated to preserving, promoting and celebrating the unique heritage in the wonderful walled port town of Youghal. Now celebrating its 15th year this dedicated group of people will hold their annual History Conference over a two day period engaging the highest quality speakers, field trips and activities relating to the rich and abundant heritage of the Town.
This year the Conference is titled:
“Youghal in the 20th Century -Leisure, Industry and Art”

The Conference will is a delightful gathering of familiar and new faces with the emphasis on a relaxed, interesting and social weekend with a whole pile of fascinating things to hear, see, do and discover.

An added bonus to the conference this year will be “A Night at the Flicks” with three photographic collections presented on the Friday night and a selection of old video footage of Youghal – Claud Cockburn, William Trevor etc. The three collections featured will be the Horgan Collection, the Roche Collection and the Kelly Collection. This will be a wonderful night of nostalgia, of memory sharing and enjoyment.
