Youghal Clock Gate Tower is the iconic building straddling North & South Main Street and is the most visible landmark in Youghal town. A trip to Youghal is quite incomplete without a visit to this unique historic structure that is a gem in Fáilte Ireland’s “Ireland’s Ancient East” experience brand.
A visit to Youghal Clock Gate Tower is by way of guided tour where our storytellers journey with you throughout the building with stories of pain, tragedy and rebellion, however there are also stories of love, friendship and generosity. Visiting Youghal Clock Gate Tower is more than just a tour – it is the story of 700 years of life in Youghal and the impact the Clock Tower had on the lives of so many of its people.
Tour Admission Tickets are available from Youghal Heritage Tours office just a few doors up from the Tower itself. The souvenir Clock Gate Activity Book, with its enclosed “quiz” is available to purchase at the office and will prove a very interesting souvenir of your visit to Youghal Clock Gate Tower.
For the months of June, July & August Youghal Clock Gate Tower is open to visitors 7 days per week opening at 11.00am with last tour at 4.00pm
