www.youghal.ie Officially Launched, Monday, 3rd October 2016

Youghal, Co. Cork has a new, ‘official’ website (www.youghal.ie) which is aimed at converting even more domestic and international visitors to the East Cork town.  The site was officially launched at Cork County Council’s East Cork Municipal District meeting on Monday, 3rd October 2016.

The new website is now live and provides an immersive experience for visitors where they can discover all that Youghal has to offer.   The website which was developed with the visitor in mind will work equally as well on a desktop computer or on a mobile device and will help visitors enhance their holiday experience.  The site was project managed by The Youghal Socio-Economic Development Group on behalf of Cork County Council and developed by Cork based Studio Forty 9.

Speaking at the launch of the site, Project Manager, Aileen Murray explained that the site was developed with the aim of presenting a Youghal that was a true reflection of the town as a great place to visit, live in and invest in.  “We believe the youghal.ie site represents the Youghal of today – stunning natural and built heritage and a wonderful place to live and in which to do business.  The website is our ‘shop window’ for visitors to the town, prospective investors to the town and also the community of Youghal, to fully explore what is on our doorstep” said Aileen.

youghal.ie is awash with stunning imagery, much of which was donated by Youghal native, the hugely talented Michael Hussey.  A special feature of the site is a number of 1, 2 and 3 day itineraries for the tourist looking for a cultural experience, with alternatives presented for those on a family break.

Now that the site is up and running, The Youghal Socio-Economic Development Group is currently concentrating on ensuring the site can be found by key target markets, and are committed to ensuring that the site is kept current and populated with upcoming events in the area.

Youghal Socio-Economic Development Group asks that any Youghal business or organisation who wishes to have a presence on youghal.ie contact their office for further information.

The youghal.ie website was developed as a result of funding allocated by the East Cork Municipal District’s Towns Regeneration Fund for 2015.  Work has already begun on developing a new site for Midleton which will be operational in the Summer of 2017.
